Mouth pain can come from a variety of sources including canker sores, gum abscesses, toothaches or injured teeth. Be proactive if your tooth hurts at night, your tooth is sensitive to hot or cold, your filling came out, your filling feels cracked or rough, or your crown feels unusual.

If your tooth has been knocked out, try to keep the tooth from getting dry. Keep the tooth wet in milk if milk is available. Handle the tooth by the white part and try not to touch the root. You may try to place the tooth back into place, but if you can’t call immediately for help. The amount of time your tooth is out of the socket dictates how successful we can be at saving your tooth.
